The videos and lessons are great on Daily Cafe. But has anyone noticed most of the books are for young readers. Can we also have a selection of videos and lessons using books for older readers? Its not cheap the subscription. My students are nearly at high school.

May I suggest that you send your concern to the Sisters at their “contact us” link from the main page? Here’s the link: https://www.thedailycafe.com/contact-us
They are always open to ideas from members!!
Also, you might think about the book suggestions to use with your older students. If you browse through many of them, you may see ways to tie the concepts presented to what you need. I work with many 4th and 5th graders (I know they are younger than your kids), and I feel I can use the books presented as an intro to either language arts concepts or writing styles that I want to teach. I think sometimes using a text that is chosen for the type of writing or language used is a great way to introduce concepts to them without the difficulty of reading through higher level text. I may not use the Lit Lessons as presented, but I can get ideas to spark lessons for my students.
