I have a very large class this year- 28 students. I recently placed many of them into strategy groups. My question is should I still be conferring with those students individually or does the small strategy instruction take the place of that? I am having difficulty managing all of them.
I am no expert by any means but if the small strategy group meets their needs then I would say that is enough. I could see you conferring with one student for a few minutes if you see he needs extra support.
