I am just starting Daily 5 and CAFE this year. I am in half day kindergarten so it is a tight schedule. My kinders are up to 7 mins of Read to Self. When should I start to incorporate Read to Someone and Listen to Reading as well? With such a tight crunch of time I am splitting up the Daily 5 into 2 sections, 30 mins of Reading (a goal of 15 min stamina at a time) and then 30 mins of work on writing and word work again split into 15 sections. Right now I am just having them build stamina. OR should I use the 1 hr and 15 min as a whole. I just want to make sure they get to read to self and work on writing daily…So my question is two fold. What is the best way to structure my 1 hr and 15 and when do I start to incorporate the other daily.
