What are some ways to make the Daily 5 more rigorous in my classroom? I am planning on starting cause and effect next week and was wondering how I could make the lessons more challenging for my students.
I think it depends on the book choices you make for your students. Make sure they all have good fit books that lend themselves to your focus of cause and effect.
I’d look at the Assessment tool for Cause and Effect. Here’s the link: http://www.thedailycafe.com/articles/recognize-and-explain-cause-and-effect-relationshipsassessment
This link includes a rubric, some ideas using graphic organizers, and some book suggestions.
