Hello I've just started my 30 day trial of the CCPENSIEVE and I noticed both CAFE and EMERGENT
can you please explain why there are two?

When the original CAFE menu was organized, it was felt that there needed to be a separate list of expectations or strategies for kindergarten. That was the Emergent Menu. It really was never meant to be a menu that was put up in the room, but more a check list if you will, for teachers to know when their students might be ready to begin with "regular" CAFE strategies . As we speak, the CAFE menu itself and the checklist for beginning reading skills are being revised, and you will hear about them soon.
