We are joining Erin in her middle school classroom. She loves the benefits that technology has brought to her instruction, but the cart that houses it all is a bit unsightly. Gail and Joan redesign her gathering space, making it more inviting. Even middle-school students like to gather on the carpet. Now they have a cozy spot where they can easily listen to instruction and shop for books. The cart, though still accessible, is no longer the visual focus of the room.
