I am a reading resource teacher in Monticello, MN. I was hired by our district for 3 months to support the "bubble" kids who don't qualify for our reading support, like title I or reading specialist, because they don't struggle in reading. Yet their test scores show that they have some needs in fluency or comprehension or both. I have the freedom to design my program how I wish. So, I do CAFE with my students like I did in my third grade classroom. The problem is, is that my position is only funded for 3 months. I am willing to continue working with my students, but need to find a grant or an outside source of funding. Does anyone know of a resource or grant that will pay a teacher stipend for this type of position? Many grants I have found will pay for resources purchased, but not human resources.
