Thankful for trials. Thankful for failures. Thankful for successes. Thankful for growth. That’s life, isn’t it? Living thankfully is a choice, so why not make the choice to be thankful through it all, in it all, and for it all?

Thankful for trials. They are never fun to go through and deal with, but trials are a part of life and can be used to make us wiser and better. They also prepare us to help someone else through the same thing down the road. Learn from your trials, and then be alert to opportunities where your experiences can be used for good.

Thankful for failures. There are times in life where we flat out fail. Some failures are of our own doing, and some are out of our control and just happen. And all failures provide an opportunity to grow, to change, and to become better. Don’t fear failure. Use it!

Thankful for successes. When you have experienced trials and failures, success becomes even sweeter. The balance is not to bask in it for too long. It is a continuous journey. Your planning, hard work, and perseverance will lead to success. Take time to be thankful for it and celebrate, and then move on to what’s next. “[E]very success is usually an admission ticket to a new set of decisions.” — Henry Kissinger

Thankful for growth. Through the trials, failures, and successes comes growth. It cannot happen when we are comfortable. Sometimes our comfort zone is stretched, but that is the only way we can grow. Look back today on your yesterday, how you were and where you were both personally and professionally. Be thankful for the things that worked together to get you to where you are today.

As we enter the final month of 2021, we can reflect on the trials, failures, and successes that shaped our year. Let’s take it one step further and acknowledge the growth that accompanied it, and give thanks.
