Today marks the 52nd Friday you have welcomed us into your inbox this year. With so many demands on your time (and inbox), we want you to know that it does not go unnoticed that you are here with us. In this last Tip of 2022, we would like to share the top features our community has enjoyed in 2022. We believe they will help you in your classroom in 2023.
In no particular order:
- Open Door Sessions—Twice per month, we open our office doors for conversation with educators. Collegial conversations and advice about challenges, questions, and moral support are offered via Zoom.
- Coaching Sessions—Approximately once a month, a member of The Daily CAFE team hosts a thirty-minute live session on a professional development topic for you. Join members of the community to listen, share information, and ask questions. Learn and grow together as members of our team share their experiences, tips, and research. Find all past sessions here.
- Printables*—Why reinvent the wheel when someone has already invented it? You can find lessons on popular titles (Lit Lessons), strategy bookmarks for your students, parent letters, CAFE Menus, assessments, launching briefs, guides to help implement our practices, IPICK resources, and much more!
- Kid Teacher Videos*—Open and accessible to all! Students around the world watch Miss Hadley, in her own words, talk about reading and writing strategies. Use them to teach or review strategies with your students!
- Modeling Videos*—Get inspired by watching any of dozens of videos that show an educator teaching reading and writing strategies. Use that inspiration to create your own brief and focused lessons.
