In The King and the Seed, a childless king must choose a successor from his subjects. Knights and nobles from all around come, expecting a tournament of grandiose proportions, instead receiving a small seed, with the instructions to return in 6 months with what it bore. Who will be chosen? The ones who bring splendid blossoms, or the boy who tended vigilantly, yet has nothing to show for it?
