Summer break from school is the perfect time to take first steps toward creating a classroom that functions well, is a place you and your students look forward to spending time, and supports the variety of learners within its walls.

Designing your classroom space begins with thinking. That's right—you don't have to be in your classroom at all. You can start the process from anywhere: the beach, your couch, the backyard, or even while on a long car ride with your family.

A first powerful step is to think through these questions about your classroom design.

Another step is to decide the best way to prioritize your classroom design needs.

And of course, spending time understanding classroom design, gathering new ideas, and making your own plans is a fabulous way to spend time during these dog days of summer.  Here is a perfect place to continue this process.

Enjoy!
