La Méthode CAFE

The French adaptation of The CAFE Book by Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. The authors of La méthode CAFE offer a simple, practical means of integrating evaluations into daily reading and classroom discussions.

On a daily basis, the CAFE Literacy System involves defining objectives in one-on-one meetings, displaying these objectives in the classroom, developing small study groups that bring together students with similar objectives, and addressing students’ new needs while teaching the class as a whole. Advantages: A method that makes it possible to trace student progress while using observations made in class to develop a differentiated literacy program.
