Small group conferences are a staple of many educators’ daily routine. This year many are wondering what the process looks like in an online environment. Good teaching is good teaching, and you can make it work online.
Watch Gail confer with a group of three 4th and 5th graders. In the conference she will:
- start to build a relationship with each child,
- teach the strategy of selecting good-fit books (IPICK), and
- keep track of teaching points and next steps.
