Scaffolding Back-Up and Reread with a Fourth Grader

Christie's student is a master at decoding words, so her fluency scores are always high. When she has an occasion to figure out an unknown word, she is typically successful. However, failure to go back and reread the sentence once the new word is deciphered interferes with her comprehension.
