In this video, Gail leads a small group in Natalie's multiage class. The focus of the lesson is word choice. Gail uses the reading strategy Tune In to interesting words to show how writers use specific language to help readers understand and to make the writing more interesting. She models with one page of a picture book and then invites the students to join her as they read a poem together.
