Staying Healthy with COVID

Some of us are still under “Stay at Home Orders” while others are beginning to be allowed back to work and into more businesses. Whatever stage you are in, you need to continue to focus on your own health. Mental health as well as physical health. Don’t forget, this is a marathon. We are not over COVID yet.

Here are 5 easy tips for maintaining health during COVID.

  • Eat nourishing foods with a focus on fruits and vegetables. These foods provide the energy and nutrients we need to stay healthy.
  • Move your body. Moderate physical activity for 30 minutes 5 times a week keeps us healthy. People who are physically active live longer, have more energy, and have less stress.
  • Manage your stress. We are in stressful times, and prolonged stress can cause digestive symptoms, headaches, sadness, anger, or irritability. To combat this stress, don’t forget to deep breath. Repeat your positive affirmations and focus on being calm. Or just do activities you find relaxing. Don’t feel like you have to take on new projects right now. Taking care of yourself and your family is enough.
  • Get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. Sleep, like nutrition and physical activity, is important for us to stay healthy. Enough sleep helps us feel well and gives us balance.
  • Connect with loved ones. Social distancing does not mean social isolation. Connecting with loved ones improves physical health and mental and emotional well-being.

Take care of yourself and stay healthy during these COVID times. We can do this together.

Be Healthy, B-Resilient.
