This Guide will offer you basic information needed to teach the strategy of voracious reading, a term that we attribute to Patricia Cunningham. In her book, What Really Matters in Vocabulary: Research Based Practices Across the Curriculum, she states the importance of reading widely as a key to improving a person's vocabulary.
