Kindergarten Writers—Nudging Next Steps

Danielle French’s kindergarten students have been focusing on writing their names and using lots of colors in their stories. She’s noticed that a couple of students are using labels already and thinks it’s the perfect time to add this elaboration strategy to a whole-group lesson.
