Do Over

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.  —Carl Bard

We would all like a "do-over" sometimes—you know, those times when things didn't work out so well and in retrospect we wish we could do something over to improve the outcome.

Do-overs exist. In golf they are called mulligans. You get to replay the shot without it counting as a stroke and without any penalties. In softball they're called foul balls. In school, students can sometimes retake a test, or even a course if they need to.

Whatever our situation, we sometimes would like to forget the past and start over. Like Carl Bard says, we can't make a new start, but it isn't too late to make a new ending.

So, if you are in need of a do-over, give yourself permission to start from now and make a brand new ending.

Do-overs are a positive thing in our lives. Use them as often as you need to for a positive outcome.
