COVID 19—Steps to Slow the Spread

I had to take some long deep breaths this week. There continues to be so many new cases of the virus and the death toll continues to rise. I was so hoping that by the end of June we would see this virus letting up, but this week I realized, it’s not even close to being over. The deep breaths helped me focus on something other than COVID and I have had to remind myself daily, to take those much needed calming breaths.

The COVID-19 pandemic is not over. While health officials want to see an end to this virus as much as you, me and the residents of each State and Country, the fact is the virus is still with us. With the rates of COVID-19 on the rise again it’s more important than ever to wear a face covering. The sooner we all take this simple step to protect each other, the sooner we can move on from this pandemic. Absent a vaccine, there is no other way we can slow the spread except by following the public health prevention messages:

  • Wash your hands
  • Cover your cough
  • Wear a face covering
  • Practice social distancing
  • Stay home if you are sick

The public health messages are clear: do the right thing and wear a face covering. It’s not only about you: it’s about all of us!

Remember, this is not a sprint, but a marathon. Don’t forget to take your deep breaths along the way.  Give yourself permission to think about something other than COVID.

We can stay healthy and COVID free if we do this together.

Be Safe. B-Resilient
