Be Optimistic

"Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier."
Colin Powell (1937-) former U.S. Secretary of State

There are many benefits to putting your worries away. It's true that happy people are also optimistic people. When we worry less, we are more likely to be optimistic about life and the events that surround us.

What is it that costs nothing and takes no extra time? Optimism.

There are 5 health benefits of being an optimist:

  • Decreases stress
  • Reduces heart disease
  • Defends against the common cold
  • Increases life expectancy
  • Increases ability to cope with life events

As the quote above states, "Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier." With an optimistic outlook on life, we not only help ourselves be healthier, but we also spread this positive optimism to those around us. Optimism is contagious, spread it around.
