When releasing children to practice a strategy, sometimes it is nice to give them a tool to remind them what to do. Enter the "I Can" bookmark. Simply cut the page into the three separate pieces. Then, when children are working on the strategy Ask Questions Throughout the Reading Process, give them the bookmark to remind them what is involved in making the strategy work for them. These bookmarks are also great self-evaluation tools for students to check their progress with the use of the strategy.
