An Apology

Life becomes easier when you learn to accept an apology you never got.  —Robert Brault

When was the last time you offered someone a sincere apology? A heartfelt apology can be hard on the ego and tough on the emotions, but so uplifting and rejuvenating once said.

There are times when we are unaware that we have hurt someone's feelings or caused an offense. Either we don't recall the instance or time has blurred the circumstances.

If we are the injured party, we may be holding on to a grudge or bad feelings toward the one who offended us.

If we are waiting for an apology that isn't going to come, it's time to move on. Forgive, forget, and look forward instead of behind. Stop letting the heaviness in your heart and mind drag you down. Once we truly choose to let go, we'll experience sweet freedom from the negativity we've become preoccupied with. Our lives will become happier and healthier if we accept the apologies we never get.
