Another COVID Week. How are you holding up?

I know many people have really struggled the past months, especially children and teachers, who are so ready to return to school or to finish this unprecedented school year.

I know it's difficult when many of you are juggling teaching your regular students and home schooling your own children as well as dealing with all the other concerns happening right now. Even with all the craziness, it’s more important than ever to take care of yourself. Give yourself at least 5 minutes a day to be alone.

5 minutes of alone time can help you feel calm and more in control. Just 5 minutes to take a deep breath, and calm your mind and body. Just 5 minutes will help you let go of the stress and anxiety you may be feeling.
You must take care of yourself so you can care for others.

Part of taking care of yourself is also the simple act of checking in with others. Offering support and receiving it from others helps us get through another COVID day. So today, ask yourself “How am I holding up?” And don’t forget to reach out to your family, friends, and fellow teachers and ask them “How are you doing today?”

We are all in this together, and we will get through this together.

Be Strong. B-Resilient.
