Pam Pogson looped with her class, so she is able to look back at her notes from spring and remind Connor of the strengths he demonstrated before school got out. He was able to infer, understand character development, and comprehend deeply by comparing stories. Seamless coaching from one year to the next and picking up right where we left off is one of the advantages of looping. It makes us feel like we have returned from a long weekend rather than an entire summer. Nonlooping teachers can experience the same benefits when prior teachers share their conferring notes. This is especially easy when teachers share or transfer data at ConferringNotebook.com.

Though this conference takes place in September, it isn't too different from a goal-setting conference that would take place anytime throughout the year.
