Savor the Slow

Carol Moehrle

With the hustle of our daily lives, it’s important to seek and respect a slower pace. In times of anxiety and stress we need to slow our breathing and focus on being calm.

In times of multitasking and burning the candle at both ends, we need to slow our pace and focus our efforts.

If we are frazzled when those around us aren’t moving fast enough, we need to remember that others may move at their own pace and that it may be slower than ours.

We cannot change the pace at which others move. We can only spend our energy focusing ourselves on the healthy balance that some slow times bring to our lives.

Slowing down allows our bodies and our minds to have a chance to catch up and reset. When was the last time you built some slow time into your daily routine?

Slow times seldom happen in our busy lives. We must learn to build in some slow to compensate for all the rushing.

In all we do, we must savor the slow so we are rejuvenated to carry on.
