Like being on a teeter-totter, we all have our ups and downs. Mentally, emotionally, and physically we try to balance our own needs and the needs of those around us.

Giving increased time and attention to one activity, job, or effort reduces the time and energy we have for other events and people.

Consider where you are in the balance between

  • worry and calm,
  • work and play,
  • negative thoughts and positive energy, and
  • stress and relaxation.

As we ride this teeter-totter through life, we should be aware that those who are happiest, calmest, and most positive have found that sitting somewhere in the middle helps keep them balanced.
