Math Daily 3

Activities

Effective teachers of mathematics actively involve students in the learning process by encouraging them to make sense out of what they are learning. Active learning often involves kinesthetic activity and always requires mental activity.  This can be done through:

  • directly interacting with children,
  • providing hands-on experience with manipulatives, and
  • having students reflect on thoughts and processes during their learning experience.

Using the Math Daily 3 menu, students self-select activities to explore, make sense of, and reflect on new and previous concepts.
