At first glance you might think, like we did, that this classroom library was as good as it could get. The books were in tubs by genre, and students had ownership of the labeling. Kelly Yahr shared that despite the appearance, it was missing a system for returning books to their proper tubs so students could be truly independent.
In these two videos you will see the refinements that we introduced so students can find and return books, and keep the classroom library organized all on their own.
These videos are cross posted on Choice Literacy and are part of the Simply Organized: Classroom Library and Storage Areas DVD.
