When Terry Steward decided to move away from a desk for every student to table groups in her room, she had to solve the challenge of how to store student supplies. Many teachers pool supplies and make them available to everyone.

She came up with a clever solution. Terry purchased these small plastic pencil boxes when they were on sale in August. In her classroom each student keeps their personal supplies inside these boxes. In other rooms, the boxes contain sets of community supplies such as one for crayons, another for markers, etc. The basket keeps them neat and handy and stores other materials that are meant to be shared communally. What a wonderful idea!
