From the Field are candid, captured-in-the-moment classroom snapshots.

Because of this, the pictures, video, and text will be raw and unedited.

You will see real life, real teachers, and real classrooms . . . We hope you find these helpful and inspirational.

We spent time in Rhonda Baker's Kindergarten class and had the chance to watch her students check in with Read to Self. At this point in the year they were practicing check in and their only option was Read to Self.  You will hear each child check in with "Read to Self" before getting their book box and finding their place to sit.

In this 41 second video, 14 students check in. As other students return to the room they will join their peers in building Read to Self stamina.
