Heather, a fourth grade teacher, has just introduced checking in with student choice, goal and strategy for Daily 5. Most of her students have done so and are now off and working. These 3 students needed a bit more scaffolding, so Heather asked them to stay for a moment so she could guide them through the process. As you are listening in, watch the time code at the bottom of the video. How would you rank the importance of this time spent with these three students? What would you expect the engagement of these students to be after checking in with Heather?
