Melanee Stempien from Bend, Oregon shared that the smallest first graders in her room, and that of her teammates, were having a hard time reaching the goal section of the CAFE menu board last year.
As a result, this year the team moved the goals section to the bottom of the menu. Now students will be able to easily touch, refer back to, and move their names across the menu. They also decided they will attach the strategies from the bottom up to symbolize how strategies can build upon each other.
