Articulating the behaviors we see students exhibit during the practice of Read to Self helps all student calibrate their own behaviors and learn what it takes to be successful with reading to themselves. This calibration happens throughout the year, on the first days of school, after a bumpy round, or after a school break. Going back over the behaviors resets and refines the expectations for building reading stamina. Watch as Karen Shannon reviews the behaviors and then asks her third graders to reset and practice again.
