CAFE™ - Conferring Notes (VIDEO)

Heather, a fourth grade teacher, reflects on and shares her conferring successes and challenges. Heather is finding, like so many of us, that she has a handle on her higher needs students, whom she meets with daily, but she is wondering if she is meeting the needs of the higher level readers who don't require such frequent monitoring. The questions she has about how to stay focused on their goals and wondering what to write down when conferring with her strong readers are a perfect chance to model how we use our conferring form. We think this form provides a great scaffold for master and new teachers alike.
