Q: I'm having a hard time finding what I want when I need it. Can't you reorganize the website now that you have so much content?
A: There are more ways to organize the website than we can count. Instead of reorganizing it, which could potentially make it more confusing for everyone, we've been working behind the scenes to make it easier to navigate. Our goal is to give you tools to make the site your own and organize it in a way that fits you style and needs best. There are two simple things you can do find and organize the information that is most relevant to you. 1) The Google Site Search: We have upgraded our site's search box to be run by Google. It is very robust and can locate items on the site often by entering just one key word. Using the Google Site Search box will help you to quickly and efficiently locate past articles, videos and downloads that pertain to you. 2) Once you find items you particularly want to keep, you can organize them by using the orange bar, labeled Show Bar, located at the top left of the site in the green area. After clicking on the orange Show Bar, it will bring up two labels, Add Favorites and Show Favorites. You can use the Add Favorites section to create your very own folders holding all of the articles, downloads and videos from the site. You can make as many folders as you wish and label them in your own words -- just like your own filing system at school. Once you create your own favorite files, the website will store them behind your Show Favorites section. Each week when the Tip of the Week arrives, if you read something that you want to keep and not have to go searching for again, just pop it into one of the folders you have already created or add it to a new folder.
We think you'll find these two tools valuable and useful as you continue to meet with us at the Daily Cafe.
